Does it hurt and how long does it last?

As with all needle injections, it depends on the patient’s tolerance. Getting an injection is never particularly pleasant, but it takes only moments and is injected with a very fine gauge needle. You can discuss pain management with Dr. Fay if you are nervous or uncomfortable about needles.

Belotero lasts about 6 months or so; again this depends on the patient as it varies by individual.

Are there any side effects?

Just like any injection, you may experience mild irritation, swelling, itching, redness, bruising or tenderness at the injection site. These side effects typically resolve on their own.

How long is the recovery time?

There is very little to no downtime associated with a Belotero dermal filler procedure; most patients just go back to work or their normal activities immediately afterwards. Every patient is unique, so be sure to discuss your plans with Dr. Fay during your consultation.
