As a therapist, one of my favorite skin treatments is microdermabrasion with the ZO Stimulator Peel. There’s no down time with this treatment and your skin instantly looks brighter. This combination treatment takes 1 hour, so it can even be done on your lunch break. The results are fabulous!
So how does it work? Microdermabrasion is a physical exfoliation by a machine that contains a gentle suction – it reminds me of a small vacuum that’s been designed for the face. It works along the skin section by section, removing stubborn build-up and congestion whilst stimulating the skin’s circulation. It’s also removing the top layer of skin cells at the same time. Because dead skin cells are gone, your skincare products get the opportunity to penetrate in to the skin, rather than sit there building up over the dead layer of skin.
After the microdermabrasion I apply the ZO Stimulator Peel. The peel contains Salicylic acid, lactic acid and citric acid (AHA or Alpha Hydroxy acids); they dissolve dead skin cells and give a great exfoliation to the upper layers of the skin, and also help to minimise pores.
The first application of the peel is applied for 2 minutes then the second application for a further 2 minutes. Then the peel is neutralised – this means that the skins pH is restored to its natural balance. We do this naturally, using sponges that have been soaked in bicarbonate of soda.
After the peel I would always recommend to my patients that they should finish the treatment of with a ZO mask. We have masks for all different skin issues, types and conditions.
- The ZO SKIN BRIGHTENING MASK. This mask helps to brighten the skin for a fresher and more youthful appearance. Green Tea extract and arbutin aid in the reduction of pigment related issues to help create a more even skin tone.
- ZO BIO SULFUR MASK. This mask is recommended for treatment of oily and blemished skin. This deep pore cleansing mask combines bio-sulfur, vitamin B, pure essential oils and fruit enzymes to help balance the skins pH, slow sebum activity reduce oiliness follicle and pore blockage and inflammation. This mask also helps to breakdown surface oils, dead skin cells and other debris that can potentially block pores. Cooling camphor and eucalyptus help reduce redness and irritation leaving the skin calm and refined.
- ZO ALOE HYDRA MASK. A natural synergy of herbal extracts (cucumber, chamomile, and aloe vera) provide an ant-irritant effect and help reduce redness.
- ZO HYDRATING MASK. This mask is ideal for all skin types, including oily skin, as it is non-comedogenic (it won’t block the pores). A pure amino acid complex helps to prevent the early appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Head back to the office looking fresher, brighter and more youthful with this combination treatment. Your colleagues won’t believe what you spent your lunch doing!
