Many of us suffer with blocked and open pores, often these pores turn into large spots, over time this can lead to scarring and give a pitted uneven look to the skin. We can offer a solution to this. You are probably wondering why you get large pores in the first place! As we age, our skin loses elasticity as collagen production slows down. This increases pore size, as the walls of the pores droop and widen. There are a lot of serums and treatments containing glycolic acid and trichloroacetic acid which help minimize their appearance significantly over time, but INTRAcel provides long-term results as it helps the skin replenish itself.

We asked our model a series of questions about her INTRAcel pore treatment.

What made you decide to have treatment?

For years I’ve had clogged pores on my nose and cheek, and the pores seem big even when I don’t have any blackheads. They are obvious and you can see them even with make-up. I also find that at the end of the day my make-up sits in the pores and makes them look even more obvious.

What happened before your treatment?

An anaesthetic gel was applied to my whole face and it was left for one hour, I started to feel my upper lip become quite numb and then my whole face. It took a few hours to wear off.

How did you find your treatment?

Dr. Fay explained the procedure to me, she explained that she would pass the device over my face three times and the needles would work at different depth. I found the treatment uncomfortable but bearable. It makes a stamping sound, but the procedure is quite quick so I didn’t have to tolerate the sensation for long.

What did you experience after treatment?

My face was red and it felt hot and dry. The next morning I could see the debris coming out of my pores. Within a few days my pores had diminished in size and there were no visible black heads. I am scheduled to go back for my next treatment soon, and I can’t wait to see the results when I am finished all my treatments!

Were you happy with your treatment?

I was delighted with my treatment, for the first time I have no visible pores on my nose and cheeks and my make- up looks much better on my skin. My complexion looks more even, it is a great treatment and I would highly recommend it to my friends and family.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I had my treatment done on a sunny day, so I was vigilant to wear a hat to shade my face and I applied my sunscreen regularly. I also avoided make up until the next night. Other than that my skin returned to normal very fast, there was no down time and my routine wasn’t interrupted in any way. It’s a great treatment!
