I also did not like all the pigmentation on my face from years of sun damage. I got BBL laser done with Sarah as this was highly recommended for pigmentation and redness. I couldn't recommend Sarah enough, she was so friendly, knowledgeable and informative and great at keeping me calm during the treatment. I had some redness directly after the treatment which subsided within a couple hours and my skin has not looked better in months. Can't wait for the final result. Is the procedure painful?

Injections may cause some discomfort during and after the injection. At Dr Lisa Fay’s Rooms will use a fine needle to ensure your comfort.

How long will it take to start working?

The treatment usually takes a few days to start working, and patients will begin to notice a small improvement after a day or two, with the full effect within 7-14 days.

Can I go back to work?

Yes, you can go back to work after the procedure, but your doctor will probably suggest that you avoid exercise or overstimulation for a day or two.

What are the possible side effects and complications?

Tenderness or bruising at the injection site may occur
Transient headaches may occur
Flu like symptoms may occur which are usually mild and subside in a few days
Allergy is a theoretical risk but is virtually unknown
Antibodies may be produced. In the event of this occurring the toxin becomes ineffective, but there are no other effects

Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before your treatment
Do not take aspirin 24 hours prior to your treatment

After Treatment

Do not touch or manipulate the area after treatment for 3-4 hours
Remain in upright position for 3-4 hours
Avoid alcohol for 12 hours
Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours after your treatment
After treatment, the effect of BTX- A usually persists for about 4 months before muscle activity is gradually resolved.
