What is the Difference between INTRAcel and INTRAcel Light?

There are essentially two treatment applications of INTRAcel available to patients at Cosmetic Doctor – fractional RF microneedling™ (FRM) and Non-invasive Superficial RF Rejuvenation (SRR), or INTRAcel Light.

With regular INTRAcel, micro needles are used, but with INTRAcel Light, electrodes rather than micro-needles are used to push radio frequency energy through the surface of the skin.

It’s less invasive than regular INTRAcel which makes INTRAcel Light ideal for thin, delicate, skin around the eyes (crow’s feet) and the lips (smoker’s lines).

During the treatment electrodes are passed over your skin which release radio frequency heat energy into the outer layers of skin (epidermis).

INTRAcel Light uses Superficial Radio Frequency Rejuvenation to treat problem areas of the epidermis, anywhere on the face or neck.

How does INTRAcel Light Work?

Collagen and elastin are the building blocks of firm, healthy skin. As we age, the rate of collagen and elastin production slows down, which is why our faces begin to sag and lines become etched in areas where muscles move repeatedly.

This leads to dull, drooping skin; winkles become etched around the eyes and mouth (repeated muscle movement in these areas affects the overlying skin) and the texture of our skin changes from dewy and firm to crêpey and lax.

INTRAcel Light Treatment Details
