ZO Medical Brightenex Skin Brightener

If you have dark spots or problems with hyperpigmentation on your skin, you’ll love the new ZO Medical Brightenex Skin Brightener & Correcting Crème; it really does do what it says on the tin.

ZO Medical is the skin care company created by Dr. Zein Obagi (of Obagi Blue Peel fame). Dr. Obagi’s practice is based in California, and on his own website he says that the Obagi Skin Health Institute is located in Beverly Hills, “home of the world’s most demanding skin care consumers.”

A demanding clientele means you have to come up with products that work- and Brightenex certainly does.

Melanin Inhibitors to Combat Skin Discolouration

ZO Medical Brightenex Skin Brightener

ZO® Medical’s Brightenex™ Skin Brightener and Correcting Creme is bioengineered to target all four stages of skin discoloration through a patented, bio-vectored, micro-sphere delivery system.

Brightenex™ is the first commercial product launch that stabilizes pure retinol (1.0%), melanin inhibitors and antioxidants with natural, patented Oleosome technology.

Oleosomes are microspheres of antioxidant-rich emollient oils and vitamins found naturally in plant seeds like almond and safflower.

As these microspheres release, they provide immediate moisturisation benefits to skin. By stabilizing and delivering retinol, Oleosome technology also provides a delayed release of active ingredients, reducing potential irritation while improving performance.

Ingredients

Dual pigmentation reversal with vitamin A and ascorbic acid-2 glucoside

Bio-active levels of vitamins E and C, and stachys officinalis antioxidants

Multistage glutathione, soy isoflavones, and N-acetyl glucosamine melanin inhibitor system

Retinol (1.0%) microencapsulation in an oleosomes delivery system

It also works well for dark marks left behind by cystic acne. The combination of Vitamin C and Retinol (1.0%) helps speed up the disappearance of hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone.

Consistent use will see results over four to six weeks, although many patients see improved skin clarity within a week.

Bear in mind that you should keep sun exposure to a minimum during Brightenex treatment, and always use a high SPF afterwards.
