TREATMENT SUMMARY

Small injections using a very fine needle are administered to the chin area into the muscles which cause the dimpling. Typically, I place an injection on either side of the midline (2 injections total) using about 5 units of Anti-Wrinkle Injections on each side. Effects starts within 3-5 days and lasts 3-4 months.

How can dermal fillers help with chin shadowing?

The chin shadow area is often linked to a weak or receding chin, volume loss, or natural facial structure. Shadows in this area can create an aged or unbalanced appearance, particularly when combined with marionette lines (the lines running from the corners of the mouth down to the chin).

Is the treatment uncomfortable?

Most patients find the procedure very tolerable. The dermal fillers we use contain lidocaine, a local anaesthetic that helps minimise discomfort. You may feel a slight pinching or pressure during the injections, but this is generally mild. If you have concerns about sensitivity, we can apply a topical numbing cream before the treatment for extra comfort.

What brands of filler do you use?

We only use high-quality, clinically approved dermal fillers, including:

  • Restylane
  • Teosyal
  • Belotero

These brands are known for their natural-looking results, safety, and durability.

How much does the treatment cost?

Pricing is based on the amount of filler required to achieve the desired result.
