Client Homecare Protocol

48 hours after the procedure, clients can begin the at-home Dermamelan Intimate Gel Cream application. Here’s a summary of the homecare routine:

• Frequency: Apply the cream once daily in the evening (PM only).
• Duration: Use for at least 45 days, though we recommend continuing for 90 days (2 bottles) for more resilient pigmentation.
• Optional Continued Use: After the initial 90 days, clients may continue using the cream if desired.

Additional Tips

• Avoid wearing delicate or light-colored underwear during home treatment, as the cream may cause staining.
• For effective results, avoid treatments such as waxing for 24 hours post-procedure and refrain from shaving for 7 days afterward.

Additional Considerations and Recommendations

• Lifestyle Factors: Pigmentation may recur due to factors like clothing friction. In such cases, the treatment can be repeated after a minimum of 9 months.
• Intimate Relations: Safe to resume after 48 hours, and the homecare cream should only be applied after this time.
• Herpes Precaution: If prone to cold sores, we recommend a 3-day course of 400mg Acyclovir before the procedure. Dermamelan Intimate is not recommended for those with active herpes.

Post-Treatment Care

• Avoid Deodorants: For underarms, refrain from using deodorant for 48 hours post-treatment. Once reintroduced, apply only in the morning after washing.
• Aftercare for Sensitive Skin: Clients may experience a mild tingling sensation initially; however, this typically subsides within a week.
• Neutralising the Peel: Your practitioner will thoroughly neutralise and remove the initial peel before applying the mask to ensure comfort and safety.
